WORKSHOP ERC-NSF

29 May 2024 — 1 minutes read

Wednesday, May 29, 2024, from 09:30 until 13:30 - Dipartimento di Scienze e Tecnologie Aerospaziali, Politecnico di Milano, Sala Consiglio DAER, Second Floor, Campus Bovisa, Via La Masa, 34, Milano (MI)

A workshop is organized in occasion of a new US-EU collaboration among Penn State University and Politecnico di Milano.

Profs. Mary Frecker and Lorraine Dowler at Penn State University are co-principal investigators of the NSF grant "LEAP HI: GOALI: Accelerating Design for Additive Manufacturing of Smart Multimaterial Devices" and Prof. Chiara Bisagni is principal investigator of the ERC Advanced Grant "NABUCCO - New Adaptive and BUCkling-driven Composite aerospace structures".

The two research groups are studying adaptive shape changing structures in two different contexts, additively manufactured medical devices and composite aerospace structures.

The collaboration includes also a study of diverse leadership in engineering teams.
