Airbus has announced the finalist teams of the Fly Your Ideas 2019 world competition.

Team Move_EZ, formed by Aerospace Engineering students from Politecnico di Milano, is among the 7 teams that earned the final, replicating the success of Team Flybrid in 2013.

Their project is the SWAN – Smart Wheelchair for Air travel Needs, a redesigned class of detachable airplane seats that convert into smart electric wheelchairs that passengers can use from check-in to arrival.
SWAN aims at revolutionizing the air-travel experience of Passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRM) using IoT technology.

Airbus Fly Your Ideas is a global competition challenging students worldwide to innovate for the future of aerospace.
The 2019 edition includes the participation of 270 teams of students from 284 universities around the world.
