A webinar held by Camilla Colombo, Associate professor of Orbital Mechanics Humanity benefits largely from all services that Space allows to Earth.
Consequently, human kind promotes intensively a development of Space through technologies for and discoveries from exploration missions of our solar system. However, orbital debris originating from non-operational satellites and left-over launchers pose a real threat to achieve the sustainable development of Space.
This webinar will present the research completed at Politecnico di Milano within the COMPASS project to mitigate the problem of space debris. The project was funded by the European Research Council and executed in close collaboration with the European Space Agency.
