NEW JSSE PAPER ON FRAGMENTATION RADAR OBSERVATION AND RECONSTRUCTION

In orbit breakup events generates several uncontrolled objects (space debris) that that pose a risk to the satellites orbiting around the Earth. Identify, reconstruct, and monitor them is of outmost importance to ensure the safety of the current and future space missions.
The new paper by our Andrea Muciaccia ↗, Luca Facchini, Marco Felice Montaruli ↗, Giovanni Purpura, Roberto Detomaso, Camilla Colombo ↗, Mauro Massari ↗ and Pierluigi Di Lizia ↗ in collaboration with ASI and INAF, presents the work done in terms of observation, monitoring and reconstruction of the Cosmos 1408 fragmentation, which occurred on the 15th November 2021.
