The IPROP project ↗ began on November 1st, 2023. This project, coordinated by prof. Marco Belan ↗ of the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology of Politecnico di Milano, is funded by the EIC Pathfinder Open programof the European Innovation Council.

The project includes a vast program of studies on ion propulsion in the atmosphere, starting from fundamental research and leading to the creation of a flying demonstrator and to the study of applications in the stratosphere.

The kick-off meeting, which involves the participation of representatives of the 8 European partners, is set for 21 and 22 November 2023.
