IAC2022 - FRANCESCA SCALA WON THE BEST INTERACTIVE PRESENTATION AWARD

Our PhD student Francesca Scala from the COMPASS group won one of the five Best Interactive Presentation Award at the 73rd International Astronautical Congress (IAC22) in Paris, France.
Her presentation was selected among 800 participants by the International Astronautical Federation and the International Programme Committee.
She presented her work on "Analysis and design of future multiple satellites formation flying L-band mission in low Earth orbit" in the Application and Operations category (B1 - IAF Earth Observation Symposium).
The work was co-authored with Prof. Camilla Colombo, and Dr. Manuel Martin-Neira and Dr. Berthyl Duesmann from ESA-ESTEC.

Francesca Scala is a PhD. Candidate at the Department of Aerospace Science and Technology (DAER) at Politecnico di Milano. Her research activities focus on the design of formation flying strategies for remote sensing applications, guidance navigation and control, relative motion, and trajectory optimisation.
